Today we will be reviewing a new category of accessories, Solar accessories. The guys

at emarket.com.kw gave us the Rukus Solar speaker to test. So lets see the features of the speaker:

• Play music from a Bluetooth enabled smart phone, tablet, laptop or computer.
• Built-in high efficiency monocrystal solar panel.
• USB port for mobile device charging.
• E-ink display(uses minimal power, high visibility in the sun .
• Stereo sound with two full range speaker drivers.
• Built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery.
• Mobile device storage net.
• Integrated carrying handle.
• Aux-in jack.
• AC adapter (included).
• more than 8 hours of music playback (depends on the settings).

Hands-on and unboxing:

The Rukus is available in 3 colors: black, white and green. we will be reviewing the white one. The box is pretty standard, you will see the product’s picture with the features and specs printed on both sides.

استعمالها وايد سهل مجرد انكم تشبوها بالبلوتوث مع أجهزتكم ( الجالاكسي أو الأيفون استعملتهم معاها وما شفت اي مشكلة)

و الحلو ان فيها جيب من ورا تحطون جهازكم

with the box, you will get the Rukus solar speaker, an AC adapter and the user manual.

Now for the actual speakers. you will find them located on the side of the speaker.you will notice the solar panel (black) which charges the unit taking a big space in the middle. there are two ways to station the speakers, vertically and horizontally. also, there is a slot for you to carry it which makes it portable.

I have to say that the materials used to build the Rukus are pretty solid and made with high quality materials, not to mention the weight, it is light.

Also, there are 7 dedicated buttons which I will go through. starting from the left side: a power button  Bluetooth, USB, AUX, Bass and the volume buttons. in the middle there is the E-Ink screen which provides great visibility outdoors (day and night) and it consumes less power. 

Connecting your device to the speaker is a breeze, all you have to do is hold the bluetooth on the speaker, hear the beep, search for it in your device and connect.

Now Lets see the back of the Rukus (pictures below). There is a pocket for your iPhone or android device for you tp keep, and below it there is the AUX port, USB port and the AC adapter port.

I have been using the Rukus for 3 days now. I have it in my living room next to the window so I wont worry about charging it. as for the sound quality, the quality is pretty good with no problems with the bluetooth as many devices have problems with music playback via bluetooth (I’m using Galaxy Note 2 and iPhone 5).

Now summer is here, The Rukus is perfect for the beach, poolside, trips…etc.
