Xcite store released their new flagship device, the xperia Z. The device packs pretty solid specs, a quad-core 1.5GHz Snaprdragon Krait processor, 13MP camera, 16GB storage (expandable), 2GB RAM, water and dust-resistant, a 5 inch 1080p HD screen with Bravia Engine, LTE… and more. I spent some time playing with the device and I’m going to share my thoughts with you. The device is beautiful – just what you would expect from Sony – thin, and light in weight. The 5-inch screen is gorgeous, colors are rich and vivid, perfect for watching HD videos and high quality pictures.

The design is minimal, and there are no capacitive buttons. on the left side there is a dedicated camera button, microSD slot and charging port, while the volume rocker and  the SIM-slot located on the right, finally, the headphone jack is located in top. The camera is suppose to be very good (couldn’t test it properly) as Sony are famous for their cameras. The back of the phone is a fingerprint magnet. Usability wise, the device was very fast and responsive, I noticed some tweaks in the UI (compared to the xperia S). I don’t know how Sony would stand against the competition, LG’s ootinys G pro, HTC one and the newly announced gslaxy S4.
